I really like clubbing with friends but I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to go alone and try to meet people or just dance by myself. I saw an event being advertised in my city that interests me and I knew none of my friends would be very into that type of music so I decided that I was going to take this opportunity and buy a ticket. I’m really excited and also nervous!

  1. For myself (28m) going to concerts alone was nerve wrecking at first but you get use to. It’s great going alone too because you do everything at your own pace. Just gotta be a little more alert than usual since it’s just you but it’s always fun. Enjoy!

  2. Last year i started going to a lot of hardcore/punk/metal shows that my friends for the most part dont like or listen to. So i decided to start going alone. I noticed that a lot of people go to these shows alone too so its really not that weird. Besides nobody would really care or notice anyway.

Going alone wasnt too much of an anxious thing for me at this point i was more anxious about the traveling to these unfamiliar venues/cities and the parking.

My real goal was to let myself loose and join in on the mosh pits and throwdown some moves. It took until my 3rd show alone on the second to last band to actually get in the pit and make a fool of myself. It was great and was a lot of fun and have no regrets.

Now since then i dont really have much holding me back from getting in the pit if im feeling it all thanks to that 3rd show.
