I watched some surfing yesterday. Tahiti is so gorgeous omg. Did you guys ever try to surf? Is it as hard as it looks?
This time of the year is great for foraging. There’s now blackberries, then public apple/pear/damson trees (it’s so cool that there are so many in Germany) and afterwards, mushrooms. Of course, it happens that especially on Sunday mornings, you see a stranger or two on your way to the foraging spot. First there are whispers “do you think that lady/couple is going foraging, too?” then you catch up and start a friendly conversation. Oh, you are going blackberry picking, too? Well, it is a lovely weather for that, isn’t it? Well, this year has been so great for blackberries, surely there’s enough for us all. Of course! Certainly. By then, all parties have started pedalling a little faster, and you are already thinking of how to divide the spots. When you arrive, though you see that veteran foragers are already there. “Hello there! I hope you enjoyed your late morning coffee. Don’t worry, there’s some left for you” At this point the husband braces himself for being told off for not getting his ass out of bed earlier.
But it’s okay, there is enough for us all.
(Except mushrooms. All good will goes out of the window when it’s about mushrooms)
I watched a ton of Olympic basketball yesterday, Canada vs. Greece was a great game. Antetokoumpo is carrying Greece so hard, he is so dominant on the court. If Greece didn’t start the game so cold I think they would have won. Now USA vs. Serbia is about to start, I’m very excited for it. We’ll see if Jokic can take on the Americans. They might have a stacked roster, but Serbia has arguably the best player in the world.
