I thought me at 23 inches was on the larger side but I was watching a jokey video on Sam Allardyce, whereby his own head was being measured (I never thought of him as having a particularly big head but it was joked about that his head is) and everyone was surprised that it also only came out as being 23 inches, as if that is average.

  1. Depends if you’re talking about the one on top of your shoulders or not…

  2. I’ve got a 23″ bald head? Have to say my loaf looks well big tbh 🤣🤣

  3. 23 inches is roughly 58 and a half cm, which puts you at about average. You’d have to be 60cm+ to be considered large and up to 64cm before you’d start having trouble buying hats. Source: I ran the wardrobe dept for my local theatre for 8 years. I’ve measured thousands of heads.

Edited to add: The average for women is 56cm, around 22 inches.

  4. If you have a massive head does that mean you would be good at break dancing (the bit where you spin on your head)?

  5. Yes, that is quite a large bonce…

Source: wore a 60 cm (23 1/2 inch) beret in my army days and anyone who accidentally picks up my hardhat in the workplace knows who to hand it back to.

  6. My head is 57 cm 22.5”. I’ve always bought medium sized hats (if that’s how they are sized) and have always considered myself as having a small head for a bloke, so I wouldn’t punt 23” as being large.

  7. I’ve just measured around my forehead and it’s 25inches exactly.

Edit: I’m 198cm tall and male.

  8. I’ve got Hydrocephalus so you won’t need to measure my head to consider it oversized.
