Me and my partner have been together around 8 years and he works with me helping me with my business.
I have noticed that he talks a lot to clients which would be fine but he stops working to chat. Anything they say he turns back to himself and drones on and on and I see the boredom glaze over their eyes. The problem is that they also pay for our time.
Today I received a call from a client who has just about had enough of it.
I find the whole thing embarrassing. We have had issues in the past where he talks over me and cuts me off but is more aware of it now after I have kicked up many times and will pull him up on it within the privacy of our home I can and will be blunt.
I have said before about stopping to talk when we’re working and going on too much but he thinks it’s good and building a relationship with clients (because he knows best 🙄).
I feel like this is really difficult to address without really offending him especially when I have already tried to in the past and he just can’t see the issue. Any suggestions?
