So… My (35M) wife (32F) planned a trip for my birthday to spend the weekend at Disneyland. She is (we are) currently going through custody court for over a year now for her son. It has been more than enough to deal with over time. We have been harrassed, we have been followes by multiple Pi's and it feels like this situation is never ending.
My wife has planned a trip for my birthday but I'm hesistant as I dont want to deal with any drama or bs from her sons father while on the trip, I also just want peace of mind and feel like I would rather stay home. Even though we have her son that weekend I feel like canceling the trip is what I would prefer but I dont want to regret it later.
I'm not sure if i should suggest canceling the vacation she surprised me with or if I should just go along with it and whatever happens happens
Any suggestions on how to handle this or what I should do? I feel like canceling is the right thing for peace of mind…
