My partner is 31M and I am 35M
Any advise please
Short story: my partner and I have been together for more than a year.
I gave him my keys for when he wants to sleep in. For some days I stay there, and then on some I stay with my parents house as they are senior citizens and I have to care for their medical appointments.
Last night I went back to my house, and found him with a total stranger. He said its his workmate and he just invited him to smoke.
While I do believe him, I just could not get over the fact that he brought someone else in my own turf..i have anxious tendencies and one of the things i told in the onset is that no matter what, he has to be honest with me.
TBH I don't even care if he would choose to have sex with someone else (I'm not exactly the jealous type, and because we are both an adults my mindset is that what you do is your choice so bear with the consequence after)
Anyways, i am thinking of cooling off the relationship for a while because I want him to basically suffer the consequences of his actions.
Is this the appropriate move? I don't want to forgive him just yet.
