Age is not just a number

I noticed on the dating app that older men prefer younger girls (10 to 30 years younger) whereas those young men prefers an older women (double their age). It’s difficult specially i feel like they’re only after sex compatibility. When relationships should be more than that. Or was I wrong? I am in my early 40’s cant even get a match because of the age. Those older men who swipes right initially thought i was only on my mid 20’s (i look young for my age) and then suddenly just drop communicating when i told them im not lying on my age profile. These young men swipes right and keep calling me a young MILF which is a total ick.
