I am curious about how the anti-Iraq-war protests of 2003 compare to the Palestine protests of today. Watching the news footage, 2003 strikes me as more "peaceful", with less violent arrests and use of tear gas / riot control.
Is this accurate to what happened, or has the media been scrubbed clean? Were the anti-war protesters of 2003 similar to the progressives of today, and were there any pro-war factions in the streets?
