Me (F16) and him (M17) have been talking/dating for almost a month now. Apparently he would see me a lot on instagram and tell his female friend how he likes me so much and wants to get with me. So one day she come up to me while I was at the mall and told me but she stated that “I don’t have to talk to him” (could be because she thought i was expressing disinterest or maybe she liked him like my other friend said.). He brings her up a lot randomly, started with the whole reason of us dating being for her (so he’s greatful for that i guess) to how he’s getting involved in her problems (confronting somebody for her) and how this and that person knows her. It’s getting annoying now but I haven’t bought it up or even hinted at the fact that it bothers me. He seems to really like me though as he always tells me he loves me, i’m beautiful, how he’ll deal with other guys if they talk about me and bantering playfully with me about me having to “ignore other guys” for him (insinuating that i have a lot to talk to). He even expressed anger/annoyance when another guy followed me. He also always talks about having a future with me and I really like him but this leaves me feeling uncertain. I also counted how many times her name was said in our messages and it was over 10 times.
TL;DR Boyfriend brings up female friend too much and it’s making me uncomfortable.
