Say you run into someone's profile in a shared interest group or IG/FB recommends them as a potential contact/friend. You find them attractive and it turns out you have similar interests. I know younger folks sometimes follow then start liking all their content to show interest, but that seems rather unsophisticated for an older adult.
Have you ever reached out to a stranger? Been hit on over IG/FG? What approach was well received?
