Yesterday I learned by way of a conflict with another guy to be more tolerant of less-than-ideal behavior-in others and in myself. By using this understanding, empathy, forgiveness, whatever you call it, you set yrself free of emotional tension. I ask myself 'do I actually expect that other person to be perfect in their ways?' Of course you can't. Cut them some slack. Look to see if you are not exaggerating the importance of their less than perfect actions.
