It’s our first date, my hair gets really frizzy when the weather is a bit humid and now I’m hesitant to see him bc it’s our first time and I don’t want to give the wrong impression.

Update: I went 😊.

  1. Take a selfie, send it to a close friend and ask their honest opinion. Chances are that you’re overreacting and you look totally fine.

  2. Thats petty, if he’s genuinely interested. How you look wont matter

  3. I promise you that your hair won’t make or break this date. Unless someone shaved your head or you got electrocuted, a guy is never gonna notice a bad hair day. I would absolutely think you’re making an excuse up if someone told me they wanted to reschedule due to their hair

  4. I don’t think it’s silly because I completely understand being stressed and feeling a bit self conscious, but I think it would be a bit much to reschedule a date for that. I don’t know how bad your hair is, but in general, I feel like that’s the type of thing that you can acknowledge to him, in person preferably or by text beforehand if you’re really nervous.

Just a simple “hey, I’m super excited to see you, but also I’m nervous, my hair is acting up with the humidity, hope I will still make a good impression on you !”

That way he knows it’s not like that all the time, you feel more at ease about it, and hey he might even find it endearing.

  5. Yes. It is red flag. You care so much about your impression and appearance that you aren’t respecting his time.

  6. Yes and I bet they won’t even notice. If you think they will, explain it when you arrive. My GF did this to me and I can assure you that I did not care.

  7. i think ditching the same day is really going to limit the chances of getting to go on a date with him at all. i say roll with the hair and do your best, he’ll probably be so nervous he won’t notice:)

  8. The chance that he doesn’t care about your non-perfect hair is about 99.999%.
