How to begin finding a girlfriend

I've never once dated a girl and now that I'm (M29) approaching 30 I want to try before it gets too late. I was originally hoping to find a woman much earlier in life but 2 separate cases of blood cancer, a house fire and just life being shitty I didn't feel it was right when my life was in such danger and mess. Life has thankfully become much more steady and normal and I want to get the ball rolling but having literally 0 experience I'm not sure where to begin, how to begin. I'm your regular anime and game nerdy boy, I work night shifts over weekends every week and I'm probably a bit awkward at first but I'd appreciate any advice you can offer.
