I’ll try my best to keep this short and sweet. But just a little background, this guy (27M) and I (27F) were going on dates about 2x a week and texting everyday (most of the time initiated by him since he’d fall asleep first) for almost two months since he reached out to me on Instagram. I met his family and friends. Everything was going perfect and he was my ideal guy. Almost 2 months into talking he pulled back a little bit and said that with his classes beginning the following day he said that he barely had time for himself let alone time to give me the relationship I deserve. He said he cares a lot about me and really likes me but doesn’t think it would be fair to me. He said he would still like to keep in touch and once he got some free time wants to go out and have a great night together.
He has reached out briefly since then and it was to compliment my new haircut telling me he was taking a study break to tell me my haircut was “10/10”. Or complimented my new tattoo, or a throwback picture telling me my red hair was a “good look on me”. Every time I respond he never answers.
Since he “rejected” me he has been liking my Instagram stories usually either a selfie or a video or quote he likes (I know that means nothing but I don’t know if he’s trying to get my attention?) I guess my question is, if you have pulled back from dating someone why go out of your way to like their stories or swipe up? I know if the show was in the other foot I would not show any signs of interest.
