I 38(M, big guy) matched with a woman 35(F) on OkC. She had a haiku in her profile and I responded to her prompt/answer. We hit off pretty well on the app and soon moved to WhatsApp.
She sent her photograph and asked me for one which I promptly did. Things have been incredibly well, she asked if we could move to voice prompts and we have. On one of the responses she ended the voice note with a heartfelt kiss and that melted my heart. I told her the same and asked her to be generous with the said kisses which she immediately obliged. It’s easily the best part of my day and she’s got some new quirk that she adds to every single message which feels amazing!
We realized we work in similar functions but in different industries. We touched upon work, general life and have got along really well so far and aligned to who we are and what we do. We discuss our travels and associated outlook which gives a unique perspective into the other person. We formed a 2 person book club, we discuss our favourite Sci-Fi and geek over geekable things in general. I proposed we go to the Banksy exhibit which she absolutely loved. I prepared a very detailed plan about the exhibit, dinner + dessert and sent her the details which kinda-sorta bowled her over, haha. I’m glad I did that.
Well, it’s just been a short time post matching on the App but I’m delighted by who this woman is and I’d like to know her better every passing day. She puts in the same effort as I do, sends selfies from wherever she is and still ends the voice notes with much appreciated kisses. I’ve put my best foot forward and I’m hoping this blossoms into a good experience and hopefully more than that.
I know it’s been rough for a while so I just wanted to send some good vibes to everyone out there. Take your time, swipe and respond to the people you believe could truly add to your happiness.
