Are Our Careers Our Lives? Please help me.

So… I am 26. Tried to earn more money by moonlighting for a competitor. I got caught. Lost one job, left the other soon. I now have a better job (but I have had better way before). I have been into so many of these companies (my field). I feel like I am not getting anywhere… Not one permanent managerial position yet. People younger than me and the same age as me are doing WAY better. I want help trying to understand that the WORLD is a big place and how I am STILL doing better than I was before… I want to connect to people here and over other online communities to have meaningful discussions…. Maybe even change my field. I am also trying to forget the horrible experience that I went through (the two jobs, and how both my managers allowed me but ditched me when I got caught and needed their help).
