Myself (F51) and husband (M53) have been married 20+ years. We have always used condoms – I am unable to use hormonal contraception for medical reasons.

At the beginning of 2024 we decided to stop using contraception, based on my age and the fact that it was unlikely I'd get pregnant. I think this is a reasonable assumption but I still get worried every month. The problem is that I don't know if I can trust myself to have made a good decision about this because the sex is SO MUCH BETTER raw. It has really amped up our sex life and I don't want to stop, which is why I need some input into whether this is really a good idea or not. Any views?

EDIT: I am still having my periods but less frequently, about once every 40 days, which doesn't help!

(Just to note STIs are not an issue, neither of us have slept with anyone else for more than 25 years.)
