what is something you want to wear but can’t? (for any reasons)

  1. At times, on a hot day, I’d love to just go topless. However, in the society that I live in, it would be taken the wrong way.

  2. Tight t-shirts. I think they‘re super cute but my tummy isn‘t flat enough.

  3. Bikinis. It would take hours to remove all the body hair necessary to wear one. I would love to wear one someday though

  4. Body con dresses because my ass likes to hang out of them when they ride up!

  5. Stilettos / high heels

No balance and too much surgery on my legs.

  6. Bikinis, shorts, and just anything that shows my thighs. I grew up obese, lost the weight but my skin and cellulite look terrible because it’s not like the skin of someone who grew up skinny. I now have put on weight as well and just feel incredibly insecure about my lower body and my jiggling thighs.

  7. Certain fabrics like crushed velvet… I have some sensory issues and hate the feel, I used to have a very cute dress but it was crushed velvet so only wore it like 2 times. For style, I don’t like things that show my chest since I suffer from acne there

  8. Tops with super thin straps. You’d need to wear those without a bra and I can’t do that.

  9. Victorian dresses. I really like them but they are super difficult to get and I don’t like being the centre of attention lol

  10. Crop tops, thight clothing, bikinis, sleeveless tops and dresses, because I’m not thin, have a round tummy and fatter arms. I’m too insecure about my body.

  11. Crop tops and shorts because I don’t want my old SH scars of my stomach and thighs to be visible to the public. I’m also have very fair skin and the more covered up I am, the less spots I have to apply sunscreen on/risk on getting sunburns on. I’ll wear tank tops but always wear full length trousers.

  12. I’m here to say, wear whatever the hell you want!!!

F flattering! People don’t care as much as we think they do. Wear the damn bikini, or shorts or crop top…just do you!

Eta: sorry I didn’t think of responses from cat callers, that really stinks.

  13. My top hat. I love it but there’s just never an appropriate occasion in my life for it these days

  14. A poofy celestial gown with a corset bodice. Long hair with braids, running bare foot in a castle at night. So many reasons why i cant lol

  15. Anything, without a bra on. I envy those women who can be comfortable and look good going on about their day without using bras.

  16. My work uniform. They make clothing for a set body shape but when you have an atypical body shape, they never fit correctly. Going too big makes the pants fall off and the top look like a curtain. Going too small makes things rip during bending or lifting. I’m in favour of vests/smocks and flexible waistbands and hemming for uniforms but not every employer understands the struggle.

  17. Wrap dresses. I have no actual waistline – but I do wear clothes that create the illusion I do.

Wrap dresses are the opposite of everything in my wardrobe

  18. Those tops that only really look good on small chested people if I wear one I either flash everyone I walk pass or look like a highway prostitute.

  19. Crop tops. I have tigerstripes on my belly because I went up a lot in weight fast because of medication. I’m scared people will think it’s gross.

  20. I’d love to wear tank tops without jackets but I feel my arms are fat 🙁

  21. Jeans, hard to find the right fit. Makes my ass look flatter. Is uncomfortable for my stomach. Overall uncomfortable.

Am pretty insecure about my stomach overall but should embrace my pooch, find it so cool when women don’t give a f and just wear what they like even if there’s chubb here and there.

  22. I would LOVE a boilersuit, I think they’re so cool but I’m 5’0 and I tend to take a size smaller in tops than bottoms so any kind of pantsuit is unfortunately a no. Same with maxi dresses, all the long flowy summer ones are just waaaaaayy too long.

  23. Anything with spaghetti straps. I grew up in a rather conservative household and even shorts was a huge step up for me. I moved countries and live on my own terms now but the inner voice in my head still calls me names like my parents did. Now I hate looking nice and drawing attention to myself. Maybe someday I’ll be able to be comfortable in a pretty sun dress and a hat

  24. Lots of historical clothing especially the really intricate dresses with corsets and petticoats and ALL the things. I also like the fantasy version of historical dress that’s seen on TV.

    Also armour…

Both are too expensive and kind of stand out in everyday life. I’d always have enough breathing space on public transport though…

  25. Red lipstick. I just don’t think it looks good on me. It’s so eye catching and bright I feel like indraw too much attention! It also makes me think it makes my teeth look yellow 🙁

  26. I’m very happy being a Muslim and dressing modestly, but one tiny dream of mine is to wear a nice tennis skirt just because I think they’re beautiful
