Hello people, I am in my mid twenties and wanted to get back to dating after my previous relationship that ended more than a year ago. I started texting this guy recently who I knew from before. We were sortof in a project together when I was in my late teens. Anyway, fast forward, he has always been sweet to me and is a genuinely sweet person (as per what I have seen). Currently, he is abroad and will be returning for good in a few months. However, the problem here is, because of the time difference, we cannot text consistently. Matching schedules becomes a problem. We spoke to each other only a few times on call in the past 3 weeks. He mentioned that he would like to speak to me more regularly to which I agreed and sent him my schedule. He was okay with it but called only once. The call that happened was really good and he did mention that he enjoyed talking to me. But since then, he hasn't called and when I tried calling, he would give me some excuse of being busy with stuff, etc. His texts also dwindled to almost once a day. Naturally, I thought that he is losing interest and stopped texting him. He double texted me after that. Now, this has become a game of carrot and stick. Each time I pulled back, he would text me and each time I responded, he would respond after hours. Couple of days ago, he expressed he really likes me. But this is hard for me to understand because his efforts really don't match. We haven't spoken on call since 2 weeks now, so I don't know what to make of it.

Shall I confront him about this? Or shall I just ignore and move on? He still feels like a real nice person, so I don't want to jump the gun out of impatience. Any suggestions?
