Was talking to a friend yesterday who said that in Europe, sex is viewed as a normal activity (akin to a sport) and emotions don't really attach a lot of weight to it compared to how it is viewed in the rest of the world. In that regard, she also said that people don't often care if who they're sleeping with is in a relationship or not, but is more the responsibility of the person who is in already in the relationship to hold that boundary. She is Swedish, if that matters. Then my British friend disagreed. So I guess I'm wondering whether there is a cultural basis between these beliefs, so please enlighten me what you think is the general view in your country 🙂
