When I first came to Italy, I asked my Italian classmate about how I looked, as it was my first winter since my home country was near the equator. They commented that I looked okay, but emphasized that I could wear anything that made me comfortable. This broke my stereotypes about Italians, as I had thought they cared more about their appearance and fashion.

In contrast to what I had seen in American YouTube videos, where there were many outfit try-on videos and a lot of emphasis on complimenting people's appearances and clothing, I was curious if Europeans care about their appearance, especially to impress others.
