1. Freedom. Freedom to drive anywhere, have any hobby, fuck anyone who wants to fuck you, eating whatever you want to eat and doing whatever drugs you feel like doing lol then dealing with all the consequences of doing all those things and learning constant lessons.

2. Not caring what other people think and not needing the validation that comes with that.

4. My time is my own.
   I can’t express that enough. Like most kids, I spent the bulk on my youth spending the majority of my time doing what others wanted. School, Church, stupid family gatherings, practice, etc. I’ve worked hard to get to to a point in my life that my time is spent doing things that I either enjoy or at least deem worthwhile. I fulfill all my professional, familial, financial, and social obligations, but after that, no person can hold any demands on my time.
   I can come and go whenever I want, I can spend money without anyone’s approval. Stay up until dawn? Fine. Random trip to Vegas? Fine.
   Time is one resource you can’t buy, I’m not going to waste it to please other people.

5. Buying and eating ice cream whenever I want

6. Paying taxes for services I don’t use to be lectured how they’re good by the people who do use the services.

7. Freedom. And being a retired adult male means even more freedom.

   I can sit naked on my front porch and not worry about missing work because my neighbors called the cops.

9. Having money. I was poor growing up, so just being able to buy something as simple as a graphic novel whenever I want, is a big net positive.

10. Being an adult is great until your in a situation where you need an adult and you look around for one before realising you are the adult, so you look around for an older person an adultier adult 😆

11. My favourite thing is, that my childhood and teenage years are behind me.. Everything else is mediocre at best.

15. So much of your life as a young person is controlled, which can be both a good and a bad. In school you generally feel like you have a purpose as you progress through the years, your life is on rails and you have a destination. That goes away once you’re an adult, and that freedom I like.
