Few days training, booking tests at the moment is a pain, factor about £500-£1000 to get your licence.

Keep in mind it’s a bit more straightforward if you’re 24 or over. Under that involves restrictions even when you passed the CBT/theory/Mod1/Mod2
If you have other road experience you’ll get through fine. Phone up a local riding school and see what their availability is.
Its moderately difficult compared with a car licence.
Dont be deterred if you were a first time car pass but it takes you a few attempts on the bike license, its worth it in the end!
If you’ve been riding a 125cc learner bike, its relatively easy: maybe 3 or 4 days training needed.
If you don’t ride, but drive a car regularly, maybe 5 days training is needed.
Otherwise, I honestly wouldn’t recommend getting a big bike as your first vehicle.
Assuming you understand road rules, gears etc, the only hard part is doing a u-turn without putting your foot down.
What do you intend to do on a bike? Full time ride or just to get out and about, or to work and back? How far are you planning on travelling? Every day?
If you just want it to get a few miles down the road to work, you’re CBT will have you covered and allow you to ride up to a 125cc bike with L plates. Note that this is only valid for 2 years.
You can also legally ride up to a 125cc bike on a full car license, without L plates, provided you complete your CBT.
