Is Italian traditions more kept in Italian Canadian culture compared to Italian American culture?

I don’t mean this in a negative light, if anything a subculture being kept after more than 4 generations is very impressive. I do feel however in Canada I’ve noticed it’s still rather common for Canadian youths of Italian heritage to speak Italian to a conversational level, etc etc given Italian mass immigration was more recent to Canada in the 60-80s
