I am thinking about changing my name (first name and surname). I don’t feel a connection with this name anymore and is it also to dissociate myself from my family (long story, but basically I just feel I am not part of that anymore and I don’t want to carry that name).
I have a name that I go by on my social media. It’s the name that I’ve been using on socials since I was 13 yo (I am now 29).
My question is if this is possible as my “social media surname” is the name of an old famous foreign painter born in the 1800’s. I chose it because it was the name of my school at the time. Will that give me any problem? Could my request be denied because of that? I didn’t found anything online about it so before I go ahead with the name change I will like to know. Maybe I’m just stressing over nothing.
