I've been trying to get a girlfriend to have a LTR and eventually have sex with. So far, I really don't know what I've been doing wrong when I'm on dates with girls. I just go with the flow and there ends up being no more dates afterwards. The most I would do on a first date is hold hands and tell her she's cute and that I like her. I suspect what I might be doing wrong is hoping she would physically escalate cause I don't want to misread cues as Im going in for a kiss or make her think I sexually assaulted her if I steal a kiss. But they never do escalate and maybe thats why they ghost me after the first date. I remembered years ago I tried to steal a kiss from a girl that I invited over at my place. She turned me away but that was because there was no build up or sexual tension so I learned my lesson and now Im traumatized to do it again.
Just recently, I saw a friend of mine pick a girl off the street, she tagged along with us, and 20 minutes later he started making out with her and ended with sex. I get thats hooking up and taking risks but I'm looking for a girlfriend. Are the moves I pull on her on the first date the same for courting and hooking up? Or am I supposed to take it slow on the first date in hopes I get a second date and she thinks I am not a hookup and im actually serious for a second date?
Ive been on three separate dates. The first one I met in public and I asked her out. I think what went wrong was our date felt like an interview. I learned that I am supposed to make statements not questions but that didn't help or maybe I wasn't doing it right. Second one I met on tinder and we did a car date. It was painfully quiet which bore her. Last one I met on Tinder and it was a perfect date. We held hands, she was entertained the whole time, took her from one place to another, and ended with a kiss on the cheek. No dates afterwards.
With this setback in mind, I've started questioning my dating skills and strategy. Do I actually know how to flirt, tease, and banter? Am I not flirting enough? When should I kiss her? When should sex happen? After the second date or first date? What am I missing or doing wrong on dates?
Is there a movie that shows how what how to date and make girl your girlfriend in 2024?
