waiting 6 years for a proposal?26M 26F

My boyfriend 26M and I 26F have been together for 6 years now, we have 2 kids together and both of his best friends are married, they got married within 3 years of their relationship and here I am still waiting… he did give me a promise ring 1 year into our relationship and we lived with his mother for the first 3 years of our relationship and when I got pregnant before our 4th year he got us our own place to raise our child, its been a great relationship and I love him, he works hard for us but it does make me feel sad, it makes it seem like he doesnt want to settle with me, that im just a girl who lives with him n has his children…i hear all the time ppl say “when a guy knows ur the one he makes you the one” now im pregnant with our 2nd child and its really hitting me how im having babies and doing wifey duties without an actual ring, we arent rich but ive told him pawn shops or even walmart ring will suffice that i just want to elope somewhere pretty instead of a traditional wedding, all i want is a cute meaningful proposal, not to just give me a ring n court house marry, i dont want to be a girl who waits and waits for him to propose anymore….
