What do you use to clean your sneakers and hats?

I went to a fair last week, and I saw vendors selling all sorts of stuff. One of the vendors was selling shoe cleaner kits, with different types of foam solutions, along with the scrub brush. He demoed the product on my black sneakers and my black baseball cap. It was pretty nice. My shoes and hat looked brand new again. The only thing is that this stuff cost $60. So I’m wondering if there’s anything like that sold in the stores that I could buy, that doesn’t cost so much. But I’d like to also know what other people are doing to clean their sneakers and caps.
