Let me preface by… I haven't been through many cities in the US.

But lets just say… the more lower income neighborhoods I've been through tend to have a lot of people out and about. I see lots of people at basketball courts, lots of people hanging out in big groups in front yards, heck one neighborhood that I go to regularly always seems to have some sort of street festival going on.

However, most… lets say higher income neighborhoods… tend to be pretty empty save for one or two people walking dogs. Even the parks don't seem to have a lot of people in them. Is this an accurate observation? Does race and culture factor in more here than income?
