Why can’t i think of anything to say over text

So in person i’m okay but over text im really bad at starting or maintaining conversations a lot of the time my conversations start with “hey how are you and hey how was your day” which seem fine but after a while of consecutively saying it to the same person it gets repetitive and boring and i just really don’t know what to say over text to start conversations i just feel like i don’t have anything to talk about
