I’m a male at university and I try to make friends with both males and females, and with the females I try to make friends with, I have no intention in any romance. But, I often find girls are more hesitant to reply to my messages quickly and tend to not reply very enthusiastically many times. Most male friends I’ve messaged tend to reply quickly and somewhat enthusiastically…are many young women scared of making male friends?
Would you say the norms of befriending a woman is different than it is for befriending
a man? I’m generally an enthusiastic and curious person.
If it makes a difference I didn’t grow up in a western country but go to university in one.
