I’m meeting a new boss next week. The article introducing her stated she used to work at a place for 20 years that my second cousin has worked at for the last 10 years. So they had to have known each other. I want to make a good impression; would it be appropriate to say I read in the article that she used to work at that place and then ask if she knew cousin’s name? Then after she answers tell her cousin’s name is my second cousin. If this question seems obvious or like I’m overthinking it it’s because I’m autistic and struggle with social skills. I understand what is rude to say and refrain from saying those things but I struggle with knowing how to socialize correctly so I just stay quiet.

Someone just shouted at me at the gym calling me an annoying c*** cause I walked in front of his camera (didn’t even know it was there) and instead of saying something back I just said “Sorry mate.” I feel like such a coward. I wish I didn’t let people disrespect me like that.
