I’m visiting my family in Miami for a month and I don’t know how my accent will affect things like ordering at restaurants and socialising with people. I’ve got a Manchester accent but people think it’s a bit “posher” than the typical Mancunian. Is a British accent a positive or a negative in Miami? How would I probably be treated based off accent? Does it depend on the city/state or is it the same reaction across the country?
