How do I get closer to my bf

Hi this is my second post ever on reddit. I would like to state me and my partner are both still in school [year 10's]and alot of out friends are pretty sexually active and I have been described as "innocent" by my friends which I'm not quite sure I am I just don't think of sexual things at first and often forget about certain things. Me and my boyfriend haven't even held hands but have been on multiple dates and always have another planned pretty much after our last one ends. We have been dating for a little over a month now so 45 days. I know this sounds silly but I really just want to hold his hand but I feel to scared to ask. We both get along because of similar senses of humor and interests. The first time we have ever made contact was the other day when i patted his back. I'm not quite sure how other kids in similar length relationships are already kissing eachother or doing other things. What should I do?
