My boyfriend and I are building up to PIV intercourse and last night, he attempted to finger me. I had never previously fingered myself, nor had anybody else fingered me, so it came as a surprise when we discovered that my vagina can’t accommodate more than one finger. I was pretty wet, I’d say, but even one finger was uncomfortable. My partner attempted to insert a second finger, but he said he physically could not get it in. At no point did I feel any pain, just discomfort. We tried again with a ton of lube and he still couldn’t get the second finger in. I tried inserting two fingers myself, to no avail.
Why would this happen? What can we do about it?
