Met this dude 2 months ago, and he seemed super genuine. I know it's the honeymoon phase, so everything's all butterflies and rainbows. On the first date, I was upfront and told him I'm looking for a real relationship, no games, and I'm all about being exclusive. He was totally on board and said he wanted the same thing.
We kept hanging out, going on dates, and having a blast. So, naturally, I thought we were on the same page for something long-term.
Fast forward 1.5 months, I had to leave for work to a new city for a few months. He’s not into phone calls, which I respect, so we mainly chat to keep in touch. The day before I was supposed to leave, he drops a bomb on me, saying he wants to see other people and then decide if he’s still into me. I was shocked and hurt, but I agreed because I thought maybe it was worth it.
We decided to keep things going long-distance. We met once after that, but things felt different. I reached out once, but he didn’t seem into the convo. It’s been 5 days since I last heard from him. I miss him, but I don’t want to come off as desperate.
So, like, what stage are we even in? Where do I stand? Should I cut ties or keep trying? This is my first relationship, and I’m seriously lost. Help me out, fam.
