Is it normal to get ignored by customers when you greet them

Hello everyone i am 16 and recently got a job and sometimes when i say “hello how are you” some people just give me a death stare and ignore me. Maybe like 25% and its not a big deal it’s kinda just a pet peeve. Does this happen to anyone else or just me idk 😭
