Long story short. Work with her, different departments. Have mutual friends so see her outside of work. Texts are flirty and full of banter but I’ve held off doing anything because I’m 34 and she’s 26 – not a massive difference but I’m conscious of the mutual fitness thing.
Regardless, we essentially text everyday, but sometimes she’s either responsive or leaves me on unread for ages.
I’m not exactly instant at texting back but she is longer.
Example, messaging me back and forth over weekend, Monday less chatty – I reply back, leaves me on read. She the. Initiates conversation again and is replying instant. Leaves me on read, see her in work, chat a little. She then messages me again around 5pm, then hangs on for me to get the train home.
I reply back to her message later on in the evening, still on “unread”.
I mean I’m not too bothered it’s just texting but I dunno whether it’s a lack of interest or it’s a game?
