I (f30) recently started talking to this guy I matched with on a dating app. And he seems like such a perfect guy. He ticks all my boxes, he’s super cute, he has the same values as myself, etc. however his name is the same name as my ex boyfriend who I share a child with.
While my ex is not really in my kiddos life anymore. And my ex’s name is unfortunately a really common male name. I’m not sure if this is a dealbreaker for me. I’m curious if anyone else has had this problem or do you just swear off everyone with the same name as your exes? Or has anyone dated and fell in love with someone with the same name as your ex and it worked out for you?
The guy resembles nothing of my ex at all in the slightest. Also I live in a small town so my dating options are not super gracious.
