Some of the people I know are like that. When we talk about a topic, they are passionate about, they expect me to understand every term and mechanism in a matter of seconds. If I don't meet these expectations, then I get a weird look or they laugh at me. I would guess, that they probably aquired all their knowledge in more than a few seconds, so why are they so expecting of me? Also, is it that weird, that people have different interests? Why are you expecting me to be so knowledgeable about your interests, when it is likely, that I have other ones?
