I’m an American myself, and I’ve heard the argument that it’s annoying that we name ourselves after our continent. It is weird but it never felt like there were any good options. The main ones tend to be Uessian, USAian, and United Statester. Freedonian is lesser known but it is the alternative demonym I like the most.
I wanted to know what others thought on the subject.
Edit: Thanks for the replies! I prefer the term American as well. I just wanted other Americans opinions before I disregarded the idea of another demonym completely.
