I have rescued a cat two weeks ago. I am moving to the UK in about two weeks.
I have been trying to find a home for this cat in my country, but because of the economic situation, people aren't interested in adopting and are actually abandoning their pets in the streets because it is becoming more and more expensive to keep a pet.
We do not have shelters here, we also have a massive population problem with unneutered cats and dogs on the streets.
Is anyone interested in adopting a cat?
To be clear, I will not be bringing this cat to the UK to put her in a shelter, and I will not be able to bring her to the UK in the next two weeks. I intend to put her in a hotel recommended by her vet while her vet takes care of her paperwork for travel over the next several months.
The reason I am looking for someone to adopt her is because I am an international student, I will be moving a lot for the next several years and I know that is not a good living situation for a cat.
If I were to keep her, I would need to find accommodation that allows for pets, which I am looking into, but that doesn't stop her from experiencing the stress of moving houses every few months.
Believe me when I say I am trying my absolute best to find her a home in my country, but it has been a while and I have had no luck. I had someone willing to foster her for a few months, and they dropped out. So, the situation is getting desperate.
Let me know if anyone has any ideas, if anyone is interested in adopting a cat, or just advice.
