My boyfriend randomly checked whether I was wet

I’m not sure what the point was. I’m guessing he’s just more immature than I thought. We’re both 19 and we were sitting next to each other watching tv when he very quickly put his hand down my pants and felt around. I was really shocked so I didn’t do anything to stop him but he said he just wanted to know if I was wet or not. I don’t know what to do. On the one hand he’s my boyfriend on the other hand what the fuck. I’m not sure how to process it so I have been ignoring him for a bit to figure myself out but now I feel like I’m overreacting
