I (21 F) have been talking to this guy for a few weeks, we’ve gone on 2 dates. I feel comfortable with him, the thing is that I have been SA before and the scary part is being alone. I told him our last date that I wasn’t the hook up type, and he just said I know I can tell. I don’t know if that was sarcastic or not, but I have only ever been with people who are exclusive with me. I’ve been on dates here and there, but it never led to anything. He asked me to go over to hang out, and i’m kind of freaking out. I also rarely date, so I need advice is this okay? like to go over for a 3rd date? I did tell him I didn’t do hook ups, but could him asking me to go over imply that’s what he wants? i feel like i have no idea how dating works

Third dates are usually where the sex comes in…especially after going to hang out at someone’s place. I’m thinking that he’s hoping to get you alone, and see if kissing turns into more of an escalation.
If you’re not ready to be alone with him, tell him that, and suggest an alternative date plan. If he pushes back at all, he’s not someone you should continue dating.
I am 69 years old, I still have no idea how dating works.
