The whole shit show in Springfield Ohio made me curious how the refugee program generally works, specifically where they are sent after being admitted entrance into the United States. Does the mayor of a city have to give permission before refugees are settled? Is it up to the governor? Does the federal government even have to consult the states at all before deciding where to place refugees? Any knowledge about the procedures of settling refugees would be appreciated
