I 18F met a guy 18M in a uni meeting party, we had a conversation and he texted me over insta asking for a coffee date. I may unintentionally rejected him?

I met a guy on an uni gathering, and we had a good conversation but unfortunately i had to leave early with my friends. He found my instagram that night, asked me if i have snapchat, i said no i don’t use it. Then he asked me to go on a coffee date to continue our conversation. I saw his message in the morning and said “okay, we’ll talk” He hadn’t texted me since, my friends say he may though i rejected him by saying “we’ll talk”. Was my response not accepting enough? I’ve been waiting for 5 days and nothing happened..
