So I (18M) have just met this girl, and I have a suspicion that she may be breadcrumbing me.
We met via a college class, and we've been in this class together for about a month now. The class only takes place twice a week, so we don't see each other very often.
On the first day of class, she seemed like she was TOTALLY into me. She stole glances at me, she would twirl her hair, and the way she spoke and acted was just really flirty.
She kept this up for a while, and then she just… Stopped. She is still friendly of course, but her flirting just vanished. She doesn't even steal glances at me anymore. And I haven't seen her with anyone else, so I doubt she has a boyfriend now. I asked for her number the other day, and then texted her after class, asking if she wanted to hang out sometime… She responded five hours later, saying that she has a lot of work to do, and that she doesn't have much time, and that we'd have to find another time.
But then, there are also conflicting signs that she IS interested in me. She laughs at my jokes, and she still likes working together with me. I can't bloody tell if she's interested or just faking it all. It feels like some sick joke.
I've never had a girlfriend before so I don't wanna ruin my chances if she is legitimately interested, especially considering how attractive she is to me. But I don't wanna play right into her hands if she is just messing with me.
