Of course it’s obvious for the wedding events like ceremony and reception, even rehearsal dinner and all over events, but is it obvious to everyone that this rule also applies to wedding dress shopping when no one else is around?

  1. Maybe it’s weird for dress shopping but I feel like people get wayyy too caught up in the bride having a monopoly over anything remotely white the entirety of their wedding planning.

  2. To not wear white unless you’re the bride while just *shopping* and walking around stores? I’ve never once heard of that. That sounds extreme. No, I wouldn’t say it’s common sense.

  3. I was at a bachelorette party and brought my white coat, and when we went hiking a few of the girls called me out. I hadn’t even thought about it when I was packing and it made me feel really stupid. It was just a coat.. didn’t realize I had to go out and buy a new one just for a color issue. I think the demands have gotten out of hand.

  4. Who cares. It’s just a white dress. I don’t even get the issue on the wedding day unless the person wears a white wedding dress that’s more fancy than the brides.

  5. There’s no rule….. but yes, I knew you didn’t wear white to bridal things. It’s more that brides wear white to like everything 🤦‍♀️ lol so I don’t want to even mess with the “who’s the bride?” Situation. All my friends have been cool but I’m not messing with it. You also see it in movies, shows, and social media a lot. The bride wearing a white sundress or whatever to the cake-tasting and so on. So it’s just something i noticed.

Like 📝 Don’t be confused for the bride at a bridal thing. Got it.

  6. No that’s not commen sense, unless the person is dressing up in an actual wedding dress then wearing white while shopping is fine
