Hey guys,

I used to be able to look people in the eye with confidence for the longest time. I’ve done my best to develop that ability years ago during high school and trade school, and it’s helped me throughout my personal and work endeavors. It used to be a piece of cake that I never had to think about for a long time. However, a lot of things has happened in my life derailed me completely, and has stuck with me for almost a year now.

I noticed I haven’t been able to create or maintain eye contact no matter who I’m talking to anymore. From people inconsequential to my life to the few who are close including family, I haven’t been able to look anyone in the eye anymore. However, conversations will proceed as normal for the most part. I can still converse, and I can most of the time be present and attentive, but if I catch a glimpse of someone looking at me I quickly look at something else.

I don’t want to lose what I’ve developed so hard to acquire. Any advice in order to maintain eye contact?
