Have met someone from app dating, chatted for 2 weeks. Went on a date on Sunday for coffee – pleasant enough chat, mainly about hobbies, work, travelling etc. He texted 2 hours after the first date apologizing for being slightly late and that he’ll be on time next time. I said don’t worry, have a good week ahead. He replied saying he enjoyed chatting. It’s been silence for the last 2 days.
I thought the date went ok, not great sparks but wouldn’t mind meeting again to find out a bit more about each other.
Does it happen often that the date would text after the first date and then just days of silence? Or should I take that as a queue that they’re not interested?

I dont see the problem here. You just wait, maybe hes texting back, maybe not. You can ask him a trivial question maybe tomorrow or the day after. If you have balls, ask him on a date, so you can be 100% sure if hes interested or not.
